“Great ideas need landing gear as well as wings,” states writer/editor/proofreader Vivian Fransen, quoting C.D. Jackson as she explains the need for meticulous attention to details in crafting effective communication tools for her clients. “I’m the worker bee that gets the job done right.”

With over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of organizations, Vivian has written tons of news releases, newsletter articles, and text for brochures, annual reports, and Web sites.

She also has written feature stories for various newspapers (including Courier-News, New Brunswick Business & Entertainment Journal, The Princeton Packet, and U.S. 1) and magazines (including Builder/Architect, New Jersey Savvy Living, and South Jersey Magazine).

Now self-employed for 24 years, she has previously served as a director of development, a hospital grants administrator, a university development officer, and a communications officer with the nation’s largest healthcare philanthropy (The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton). She received a degree in sociology from Gordon College (Wenham, Massachusetts) and a master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College, The City University of New York.

Vivian’s speciality is writing “good news” stories with a community focus. Whether the task at hand is interviewing a top executive at a world-class pharmaceutical company on the topic of leadership or a mother of two in a homeless shelter who has mustered the courage to turn her life around, Vivian writes each story with integrity — and always keeps the facts straight.
