NOWA will once again had a table at the Somerset County Business Partnership Expo at the The Imperia at
1714 Easton Avenue in
Somerset, on June 13th, 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Many attendees showed great interest in both the NOWA organization and the services individual members offered. NOWA will also be raffling off a special prize, including gift certificates for services by NOWA members.

Karen Hodges Miller and Open Door Publications LLC held its first Winter Writer’s Retreat on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23 and 24. They had 17 enthusiastic participants and six fabulous speakers. Acording to Karen, the energy was high, the information was valuable. Another Writer's Retreat is being planned for 2014.

Karen Hodges Miller, a member of NOWA and owner and publisher of Open Door Publications LLC, recently published her second book for authors, “Finish your book! A Time Management Guide for Writers.” She co-authored the book time management and small business consultant Lorette Pruden, Ph.D. Open Door Publications, which works with both first-time and established authors, will publish 11 books this year on a variety of non-fiction topics. Tracy Ivie to Give Two Sleep Workshops
On Sunday, March 13, the United States will lose an hour of sleep to daylight
saving time. The afternoon before, author Tracy Ecclesine Ivie plans to help people
regain that lost hour of sleep -- and many more -- in her “10 Tips for a Great
Night’s Sleep” workshop at the Hunterdon County Library.
